The International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Engineering (IJETE) is committed to upholding the
highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in all stages of the publishing process. We strictly
adhere to ethical guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness, and academic excellence in research
dissemination.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality & Plagiarism: All submissions must be original and free from plagiarism. Proper citations
    must be provided for all referenced work.
  • Data Integrity: Authors must ensure that all data presented in the manuscript is accurate, reliable, and
    not manipulated.
  • Authorship & Contributions: Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research should be listed as authors.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their research.
  • Multiple Submissions: The same manuscript must not be submitted to multiple journals at the same time.
  • Corrections & Retractions: If an error is discovered after publication, authors must promptly inform the
    journal for correction or retraction.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality and not share or discuss the manuscript
    with unauthorized individuals.
  • Unbiased Evaluation: Reviews should be conducted fairly, objectively, and without personal or
    professional bias.
  • Constructive Feedback: Reviewers should provide clear, constructive, and evidence-based comments to help authors improve their work.
  • Timely Review: Reviewers should complete their evaluations within the specified timeline to ensure timely publication.
  • Conflict of Interest: If a reviewer has any conflict of interest with the manuscript or its authors, they should decline the review.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Fair & Impartial Decisions: Manuscripts are evaluated based on academic merit, originality, and relevance, without discrimination.
  • Editorial Integrity: The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members ensure that ethical standards are upheld throughout the publishing process.
  • Confidentiality & Anonymity: The double-blind peer review process is maintained to ensure unbiased decision-making.
  • Addressing Ethical Concerns: The editorial team investigates ethical breaches, plagiarism, or conflicts of interest and takes necessary action, including retraction if required.
  • Transparency in Corrections: If errors or misconduct are identified, editors will issue corrections,
    clarifications, or retractions as appropriate.

4. Ethical Considerations in Research

  • Human & Animal Ethics: Research involving human participants or animals must adhere to established ethical guidelines and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Informed Consent: Authors must ensure that participants in their studies have provided informed consent where applicable.
  • Data Privacy & Confidentiality: Sensitive information must be handled responsibly, ensuring that privacy and confidentiality are maintained.

5. Plagiarism & Misconduct Policy

IJETE strictly prohibits:
  • Plagiarism – Copying or using another author’s work without proper citation.
  • Fabrication & Falsification – Manipulating or inventing research data.
  • Duplicate Submission – Submitting the same paper to multiple journals.
  • Citation Manipulation – Excessive self-citations or coercive citation practices. 

IJETE employs plagiarism detection tools to screen all submissions before publication. Papers found violating ethical standards may be rejected, retracted, or blacklisted.

6. Retraction & Correction Policy

  • Retraction: A published paper may be retracted if serious ethical breaches, plagiarism, or data
    falsification are identified.
  • Corrections: Minor errors or inaccuracies in a published article may be corrected with an official erratum or corrigendum.
  • Expressions of Concern: If ethical concerns arise, the journal may issue an expression of concern while further investigation is conducted.

7. Compliance with International Guidelines

IJETE follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, ensuring adherence to globally
recognized ethical publishing practices.

ensure credibility and integrity in academic publishing.
